Whole Grain Spelt Waffles

Ingredients

  • cup organic spelt berries - About 1 cup of Spelt flour
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp baking soda
  • 3 tbsp melted butter
  • 1 tbsp pure maple syrup
  • ½ cup milk - Non-dairy milks work as well
  • ½ cup plain greek yogurt
  • 2 eggs

Instructions

  • Grind berries into a bowl and add the rest of the dry ingredients. Whisk until blended.
  • Add wet ingredients in any order. Whisk until thoroughly combined.
  • Cook in a waffle iron according to instructions (How much batter will depend on the size of your waffle iron. (We use about ¼-⅓ cup of batter)
  • Add your toppings of choice and enjoy!
