It’s so awesome what a great nutty taste. I freeze the berries before milling In the morning. What a great compliment to flour for sourdough!

I highly recommend this company. The quality of service and product is evident at every step. I've purchased 50lbs of Einkorn in the bucket and in the paper bags. In both transactions: -The website was easy to navigate, prices were fair, and shipping was free for my orders. - I received my order within 3 days in the East Coast even after a major snow storm. - The delivery instructions I gave were taped to the outer box so the delivery person delivered it correctly to my apartment. - The packaging (bucket and paper bags) we're of great quality. The grains were fresh and milled beautifully in my grain mill. I've baked bread, chocolate cake, waffles, and muffins with Einkorn flour. My family loves it.

I first bought the plastic bucket with the mylar liner. These bags were my second purchase from Ancient Grains to refill my bucket. One bag fit in my small bucket with a small amount left over. I'm milling all my einkorn with my Magic Mill which I bought in the early 90s. The grain is very clean, no chaff and no rocks. I used to find occasional small rocks in my Montana red winter wheat. I had to sift through it pretty carefully so as not to destroy my mill. I took about a 20-year break from making bread and am now making whole grain einkorn sourdough bread once a week and loving the rich taste of einkorn.

  1. Clean, well packaged grain. I’ve been ordering for years, it’s a staple in my home. This grain is very consistent in quality, taste, and dependable results in my recipes. Thank you!

  2. The einkorn berries from ancientgrains.com are fresher and more flavorful than the berries I’ve purchased elsewhere and the price is great!

  3. The I used a Einkorn berries and Khorasan berries mixture for my fresh flour for bread and baking. The bread was absolutely delicious! It was a little different to work with then hard wheats, but I LOVED it!!! The flavor was far superior. I also made muffins and wheat thins so good! It is a new house hold staple.

  4. Good clean grain and shipped in a timely manner. The local farmers coop was completely out so I was happy to find this source. I bake all my bread with Einkorn so happy to find Ancient Grains.

  5. The berries are beautiful and clean. They come packaged in very nice and sturdy bags. Ancient Grains is first class all the way around.

If I buy a Mockmill to grind Einkorn berries will this grind to be whole grain einkorn flour or all purpose einkorn flour? Shelby Lenoue asked on February 16, 2026

It would be whole grain flour. If you sift out the bran with a 40-60 mesh sieve, then it will be like our all-purpose flour.

How can you plant these berries to grow more? Colby Vlietstra asked on January 1, 2026

The hull has been removed, and this process can cause a drop in germination. That said you can expect a 40-60% germination rate, however, a portion of the seeds that do germination do tend to have lack vigor.

Our Family And Team at Grand Teton Ancient Grains

Our Mission

Since 2009 our family's been on a bootstrapped quest to restore healthier ancient grains to the American dinner table.

Today, we've grown to employ people throughout our small Idaho community.

Your support means a lot to everyone here at our family farm and mill.

A Different Kind of Gluten

Einkorn is an ancient grain that has a different kind of gluten, a “good gluten,” with a simpler chromosomal thumbprint.

Customers tell us they and their families find Einkorn much easier to digest than industrialized modern wheat.

Different Gluten
Milling Process

Our Fresh Milling Process

To ensure every batch of Einkorn flour meets the highest standards of baking-ready quality and freshness, we developed a unique 8-stage state-of-the-art grain-cleaning gauntlet.

From there, the Einkorn enters our stone mill where fine flour is freshly milled, then sifted to remove most of the bran, ensuring a light, beautiful all-purpose organic flour.

This way, you know our flour is fresh as it gets.

And because it is stone milled, it still contains the all-important Einkorn germ, loaded with healthy vitamins and antioxidants.
