I am loving this spelt for waffles and muffins! My kids are gobbling everything up. I’m following the spelt waffle recipe from the Ancient Grains blog and it’s delicious. My only tweak is that I soak the flour in yogurt for 12-24 hours before adding the other ingredients.

Received the order and it was clean and well packaged, two 24 pound bags in one box so quite heavy. I replace half of the whole wheat flour in my sourdough recipe with ground spelt and it's very delicious. I give these loaves to an elderly lady who loves to make French toast with it. I looked at other places to buy spelt but they didn't have great reviews and they were more expensive. I learned about this company from Mary's Nest and decided to try them, I will be buying more from them in the future. Thank you

I throughly enjoy my flour berries. For this load i use equal portions Einkorn, Spelt, and hard red wheat berries with salt water and yeast. I barely “kneed” if and fins that if I let it rise the second time for the time it takes to heat the oven is best as if I let it rise to what is an expected height the center falls a little. I also will use a half Spelt half red wheat berries flour mixture to make buttermilk pancakes that come out good. Though they are best fresh. This was my second time ordering Spelt Berries. The way I make bread once a week and pancakes occasionally my first two bags lasted about 5 months as each recipe the spelt berries used were 1/3-1/2 of the amount I put in total to each recipe.

    This is the first time I ordered Spelt berries. I baked bread loaves so far, but plan on trying some dinner rolls. We usually don’t eat muffins, pancakes, etc. but like to have bread/rolls with our meals. We really enjoyed the flavor of the bread made with the spelt, a little sweet and nutty. The berries are clean and packaged well. Shipping is always fast.
