This dish is a perfect side to almost any meal. They are versatile, but they are also so quick and easy to make, giving you more time to focus on the main dish.Â
To make these delicious emmer breadsticks, start by activating the yeast. Combine warm water, honey, and yeast, letting the mixture sit for 5 to 10 minutes. Once bubbly, mix in emmer flour, salt, and avocado oil. You can knead the dough by hand or use a stand mixer with a dough hook. The dough will be slightly sticky but will thicken as you knead.
Let the dough rest for 30 minutes under a cover, then divide it into two portions. Roll each portion into a rectangle on parchment paper, decorate with toppings of your choice, and cut the dough into strips. Bake at 400°F for 8 to 10 minutes, until golden brown.
And that’s it! Let them cool for about 5 minutes and enjoy!

Can I use Einkorn berries to make the bread sticks recipe above? Thank you for making all these wonderful grains and recipes available for us.
Hello Arendse!
You can substitute Einkorn in the recipes, but it will be different because Einkorn is much more wet. So you will have to decrease the amount of liquid. We hope this helps! Let us know if you have any more questions. Thank you for shopping with us!

I recently purchased a large bag of emmer from you. Do you have any emmer loaf bread recipes made WITH YEAST to share? Thanks!
Hi Betsy, we don’t recommend using pure emmer in a bread recipe. It has a very weak gluten structure and isn’t great for bread baking. We’d suggest combining it with other grains. It works better for other things and cooked whole like rice.
I’m reaching out for your Black Nile Barley.
I’ve heard so much about. I have an allergy to most wheat foods 🤧
